Location
Chiatri is a small town near Lucca . It is famous because it gave hospitality to the master Giacomo Puccini in the period he was composing the Tosca. It is situated on the hills dominant the Viareggio coast and it's surrounded by woods and olive groves.
Puccini lived in solitude in a house dominant slopes and surrounded by holm-oaks from where you can have a large panoramic view.
He usually spent here the summer and the autumn to be restored from heat and to admire the panoramic views. He also usually go hunting with his dog and the shotgun on his shoulder.
In spite of the Puccini's villa in Chiatri is uninhabited from a very long time up to today it's possible to perceive a special atmosphere of ancient times.
Chiatri is situated near Lucca, a wonderful medieval town and also near Pisa with its famous lending tower and the renowned Versilia.
In an hour at most you can reach Florence , the art's capital city, Montecatini where you can spend a day in the wonderful thermal baths and Barga. Then it's impossible to neglet the famous Natural Park of Apuane Alps and the National Park of San Rossore, near Pisa.
It can make possible because of the unique environment where you can find sea, lake, hills, mountains and parks.
How to reach us
From Genova A12: take the highway for Lucca , exit Massarosa and follow the directions towards Lucca.
The last small town is Quiesa and the road goes up for 3 km ; when you are on the Quiesa mountain you have to turn left and you find Via per Chiatri Puccini, you go straight for 1800 km and you'll find the entrance of our residence on your left.

From Firenze A11: highrway Firenze-Mare(Florence-Sea), exit Lucca Ovest.
You have to hold the right and then turn left when you find via delle Città Gemelle.
At the second traffic lights go straight towards Via Einaudi and at the next traffic lights turn left in Via Sarzanese ( also named Via Giacomo Puccini, SS439) towards Viareggio.
Continue for about 6 Km and when you arrive on the Quiesa mountain turn right in Via Chiatri Puccini; you go straight for 1800 km and you'll find the entrance of our residence on your left.

From Pisa SS1: Go along the SS1 Aurelia until Viareggio . Take the exit towards Massarosa SS439 - MASSAROSA - VIAREGGIO SUD - PORTO and continue on the SP5. Go along the Via Sarzanese (SS439) for about 7 km . When you reach the Quiesa mountain, turn left in via Chiatri Puccini; you go straight for 1800 km and you'll find the entrance of our residence on your left.
